Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party has won the majority in the British Parliament and leaves behind The Labour Party. PM Johnson who was critized for promoting ideology of Brexit has shut the mouths of everyone by claiming the majority of 363 seats in the House of Commans. Its opposition Labour Party has claimed 203 seats which gives Conservative Party majority of 75 seats.
After the win PM Johnson said that Britain would leave the European Union (EU) by 31st of January at any cost. Whereas, Labour Party’s leader Jeremy Corbyn who has criticized Indian PM Narendra Modi’s decision of withdrawing Article 370 from Kashmir got very disappointed with the results and said that he would not fight in future elections. This general election was important affair for Indian Origin candidates as a total of 63 got seats in elections but only 25 marked their fate through Conservative Parties major win.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Boris through Twitter and said that he will look forward working together for future ties between India and UK.
